William B Williams was part of the fabulous crew that was the core of WNEW in New York during the heyday of big band music. With Ted Brown, Jonathan Schwartz and several others, WNEW was the mecca for 'good music' when Rock had captivated most of young America.

Williams was most famous for the hours he devoted to Frank Sinatra music. Calling Sinatra "The Chairman of the Board" Williams was one of the people who kept the music of Frank Sinatra alive.

Williams style was laid back, very calm, and his New York audience loved him.
