Radio and the 2008 elections remain this year's big story. Does Talk Radio actually affect the outcome of elections? You'd better believe. Yet, there are those who say, "Oh, I'll do what I think best." Nonsense! The average American has little idea of what the candidates stand for. They listen to Rush, and the vote Republican.

How far can jocks go without getting kicked off the air? Ya never know! Management lets you do dirty talk, then someone's sister gets offended, they are tight with Management, and BOOM, you're fired. Jocks begin to believe they are above the rest. Wake up and smell the cow dung!

The hottest story in 2007 so far, is the Don Imus story. Now, the rumors are that Imus might be back on WFAN in September.

In 2006, the big story was that ratings would be done by PPMs, personal people meters. And in 2005, it was the Jack format. In New Orleans Jack took over at a station, and EVERONE got fired. At WCBS FM in New York, Jack took over and they dumped their morning man, and he was new. It's a killing field for air talent.

This is a Members site, and you are not a member. The story on Imus is new, the rest of this page is old news. Why? We we wanted you to see a sample of what Members get to see. If you're not clued in to what is happening, you haven't a prayer at getting a job in radio

Every day, we not only report news, we allow you to report something about yourself, your stations, or whatever. So, if your station is having a promotion, or if you have something to tell about your show, just do it. It's easy and it's free. Here's a small sample

Michael McDonald Hard Luck

The singer was booked into a sold out State Theater in New Brunswick, NJ. WMGQ had done a brilliant job promoting the show. McDonald has been playing to half empty houses. Then came the snow...15 inches of it. Ice and snow made driving impossible. Parking was impossible. Everything was impossible. Yet, 95% of the audience showed up. It was a great evening. The show went on. That's show biz.

Drug Rush

Seems Rush Limbaugh is very angry at the state of Florida. Limbaugh fears that release of his medical records makes him vulnerable to prosecution, and claims privacy rights. Whatever, the news that Rush might have violated Federal and State laws is disturbing.
